Mission

To contribute to the development of fiscal policies by providing long-term fiscal projections, surveying
fiscal policy trends, forecasting tax revenues, and analyzing tax and fiscal policy impacts.

History

2000
  • Dr. Hong, Seung Hyun appointed as Head of Center for Fiscal Analysis. Consisting of the
    Public Finance System Analysis Team and Budget Program Analysis Team (2 teams)
  • Mr. Park Hyungsoo appointed as Head of Center for Fiscal Analysis
  • Mr. Kim Junghoon appointed as Head of Center for Fiscal Analysis
    (also served as Head of Fiscal Research Headquarters)
  • Mr. Kim Jongmyeon appointed as Head of Center for Fiscal Analysis
  • Mr. Park Kibaek appointed as Head of Center for Fiscal Analysis
    (also served as Head of Fiscal Research Headquarters)
  • Establishment of the Center for Performance Evaluation and Management
  • Created Performance Evaluation and Management Team (due to reorganization) Consisting of the Public Finance System Team, Performance Evaluation and Management Team, Tax Revenue and Public Finance Estimation Team and International Cooperation Team (4 teams)
  • Mr. Park Hyungsoo appointed as Head of Center for Fiscal Analysis
  • Mr. Park Hyungsoo appointed as Head of Center for Fiscal Analysis
  • Spending Analysis Team abolished (due to reorganization) Public Finance System Team, Tax Revenue and Public Finance Estimation Team and International Cooperation and Education Team (3 teams) remain
  • Opening ceremony for the Center for Fiscal Analysis
  • Mr. Jeon Seunghoon appointed as Head of Center for Fiscal Analysis Consisting of the Public Finance System Team, Spending Analysis Team, Tax Revenue and Public Finance Estimation Team and International Cooperation Team (4 teams)
  • Final approval for Center for Fiscal Analysis establishment by acceptance of report on the specific implementation measures of the project from the consultation meeting of the relevant agencies (Ministry of Finance and Economy, Ministry of Planning and Budget, KIPF) held at the 78th board of directors meeting of the National Research Council for Economics, Humanities and Social Sciences
  • Establishment of the Center for Fiscal Analysis approved at the 66th board of directors meeting of the National Research Council for Economics, Humanities and Social Sciences
